Cooking Information

Welcome to the world of Washboard Waffles!

Wacky the Waffle will guide you along the right path to get your batter blending, cooking, packed and out the door to get your day started the perfect healthy way!

So if you're ready, let's get cooking!

The following is what you will need to get this waffle construction underway.

  • Dry Washboard Waffle and Pancake Mix.
  • One packet of Agave - The organic, all natural, low glycemic alternative to sugar.

Get moving...

  • 1 Cup of Egg Whites (6 separated eggs) or 1 cup of Egg White Substitute.
  • 2/3 Cup of water.

Bring on the Blender!

  • Combine Egg Whites, water and Agave Nectar in the blender. Place lid on and blend on low.
  • While blending on low speed, remove the lid and slowly pour in the Dry Mix. Replace lid and blend on high speed for 45-60 seconds.
  • Spatula into a bowl and let sit for 5 minutes.

Fire up the Waffle Maker!

  • Use about 2 tablespoons of batter for each square of the Waffle Maker. Close the lid and wait until cooked.
  • For pancakes, use 1 tablespoon per pancake, and cook on medium low temperature until done.

No Blender...No Problem!

  • Whisk all wet and dry ingredients together in a bowl. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  • In the morning, stir again and cook as described above.

Play With Your Food!

  • Top it, Roll it, Stack it with fruits, nuts, and spreads. The sky is the limit!

Useful Tips

*For a grainy, light and airy waffle, blend only the recommended amount of time.

*For a thicker waffle with a smooth texture, blend on high another 15-20 seconds, pulse blend, or just let it blend until you no longer hear the grains blending or see any of the grains through the blender jar.

*Regardless of the waffle consistency that you desire, the best results come from allowing the batter sit in the bowl about 5 minutes before beginning to cook your Washboard Waffles. Spatula the batter into a bowl and constantly stir from the bottom as you cook.

Play with your food! Kids will love it!! Top it, roll it, stack with fruits, nuts, and spreads. The sky is the limit!

*After you eat, there should be some waffles left over (if not, we understand!!!) for you to pack and take with you to enjoy throughout your day. Storing them to retain their freshness is the key. Make sure you let all of the air out of your bag or container before sealing it.

*Your waffles will be fine unrefrigerated for several hours, as long as they are not stored in a car or in the heat. Keep them in a cool, dry place away from moisture and sunlight. To maintain their freshness for several days, keep them refrigerated. Or freeze them for up to six months.
